2016 Head Start Let's Move Olympics

Dozens of families enjoyed a morning of fun physical fitness at the 2016 Head Start Let’s Move Olympics! All of the fun took place on the Lincoln High School football field, where children and families participated in several non-competitive physical fitness activities to get them moving! The morning kicked off the a parade of international flags created by the Head Start centers, and continued with music and movement with NHA Team Member Charles Wilson, and an exercise demonstration by personal trainer Mike Cothrine. Once children finished a full round of activities, they were awarded medals for all their hard work!

To encourage families to get active, all of the activities were designed to be simple, requiring little to no equipment, so families can exercise together. We hope all of the families who attended had a great time, and continue moving together at home!
