The Neighborhood House Association is San Diego County’s largest multi-purpose human services agency, helping thousands of individuals and families improve their quality of life by providing vital social services including employment, health care, child, family, and senior services.

Established in 1914, the NHA began as a settlement house assisting immigrants transitioning into the San Diego community, and 100 years later, the NHA continues to help thousands of individuals and families in San Diego County improve their quality of life through 10 social service programs designed serve the under-served individuals, children, and families.

The CEO of the Neighborhood House Association, Rudy Johnson, joins Tommy for an in-depth conversation on Living Better In San Diego about the NHA’s current plans and goal and status as a model agency for similar overseas entities, their work with the Head Start program and adult dat care, commitment to organizational transparency, and the NHA’s impressive legacy of service to the citizens of San Diego.
