Head Start Celebrates World Art at 5th Annual Art Fest

The Neighborhood House Association’s Head Start program kicked off the 5th Annual Art Fest on May 7, 2012 at the NHA headquarters in San Diego.

The Art Fest is an annual event that showcases artwork created by Head Start children from all over San Diego. This year’s art was globally inspired and made from recycled material. A variety of pieces are on display throughout the halls of NHA and include: Diego Rivera influenced paintings, Safari animal statues, Japanese-inspired pieces and more. NHA and Head Start are proud to celebrate creativity and art, as these are important fundamentals of the Head Start curriculum.

NHA thanks Bobby Hawke and Lakeshore Learning for the generous material donation as well as Martha Simpson and the Art Fest 2012 Committee for a wonderful exhibit! Art will be displayed until June 8, 2012.
