About the Fathers First Program
The San Diego County PEI Fathers First Program is designed to strengthen paternal engagement, enhance co-parenting relationships, strengthen family self-advocacy and improve overall family well-being. The program supports and equips partners of Black/African American perinatal women through culturally congruent parenting education, workforce connection, mentoring, and linkage to health and social resources.
Eligibility
- Soon to be fathers and fathers with an infant up to 1 year of age
- Expectant or current mother/partner of child is African American or Black
- 18 years or older

- One on One Support
- Classes, Workshops, Events with other fathers
- Linkages to Community Resources
- Peer to Peer Mentorship
Payment
Services are provided at no cost to participants.
