How Do I Apply For an Internship?

apply internshipNHA’s internship program is a very rewarding, and worthwhile experience for students. It provides a valuable educational experience while giving the student the opportunities to help thousands in need across San Diego County.

Students must be registered at an accredited educational institution, as well as a work experience program within their field of study, to be considered for the program. In order to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for interns at NHA, the agency requires that all student interns undergo a thorough application, qualification and orientation process.

Here is what applicants are required to do as part of this process:

Review all of the internship opportunities available for the field area you are interested in.
Fill out the internship application, attach your resume and submit to the Intern Coordinator.

  • Applications will be reviewed within 2-3 weeks of submission, at which time applicant will be notified of status.
  • All applicants accepted into the internship program are required to attend an orientation session. Applicants will be asked to download and complete an orientation packet prior to their session.
  • Some programs require a Tuberculosis (TB) test in order to intern with NHA.
