Dr. Sheryl White
Senior Vice President of Training and Organization Development/General Manager of InnoVisions
Dr. Sheryl White, a cultural psychologist and organization development consultant, brings over 25 years of experience facilitating consensus building, positive engagement dynamics, and planned change commitments. In 2008, Dr. White joined the executive leadership team at the Neighborhood House Association (NHA), one of San Diego county’s largest multi-purpose human services agencies, where she currently serves as Senior Vice President of Training and Organization Development and General Manager of InnoVisions (NHA’s consulting social enterprise). She has served as a thought-partner with a cross-sector of leaders around the globe facilitating ethical, strategic, and critical decision-making; inspiring compassionate leadership; advancing equity and inclusion; and fostering positive culture transformation.
Dr. White started her post college career as a preschool teacher and assistant site supervisor on a military installation, and then transitioned to working as rehabilitation counselor and consultant in the public and private sector. Prior to spending 15 years as an organization development consultant, she served as area manager of San Diego and El Centro, California for a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual.
Since 1999, Dr. White has served as an executive coach and small group facilitator with the Center for Creative Leadership, a core adjunct professor at National University, and guest lecturer at area universities. She also serves as a consultant with a nationwide executive consulting select group.
Dr. White worked as an internal organization development consultant for the City of San Diego, California’s second largest city government, and as an external organization development consultant for 1) local, state, and federal government agencies; 2) educational institutions; 3) for-profit companies, including Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies; and 4) non-profit organizations.
Education, Publications, and Professional Affiliations
Dr. White holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grambling State University, a master’s degree in counseling from Louisiana Tech University, and a master’s and Doctor of Psychology degree in culture and human behavior from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. She is a qualified, trained mediator and provider of several organization, team, and individual assessments. Since 2009, she has been the host of Leadership Matters, an Internet radio show and podcast that airs on Voice America’s Business Channel.
Dr. White serves on the San Diego Delta Foundation Board and the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities/Loyola University Chicago Executive Leadership Institute Alumni Connections Board. She actively supports and is a past board member of several other educational and community organizations. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc public service organization. Dr. White is passionate about inspiring compassion and helping people work better, and better together, for the betterment of humanity.
