About the Financial Counseling & Coaching Program

The Neighborhood House Association Financial Counseling and Coaching Program (FCCP) provides supportive resident services designed to enhance the overall well-being of individuals and families. The program focuses on community engagement, life skills development, and access to resources that promote stability and improve quality of life for residents and their children.
 
FCCP offers enrichment opportunities, guidance, and support to help residents build confidence, strengthen family connections, and navigate available community services. Programming is provided exclusively to residents of Vista Terrace and Coronado Terrace Apartments.

Services

  • Educate clients on sound financial principles
  • Assist clients in the process of overcoming their financial indebtedness
  • Help clients identify and modify ineffective money management behaviors
  • Help clients develop new perspectives on the dynamics of money in relation to family, friends and individual self-esteem
  • Establish an emergency fund
  • Accumulate 3-6 months savings
  • Develop a spending plan and budgeting system
  • Match Savings program available for all adult participants in FCC classes
  • Services are offered in English and Spanish

Tutoring Services

  • Tutoring in subjects of math, English, reading and other subjects 
  • Movie nights 
  • Field trips 
  • Games 

Eligibility

  • Any resident age 18+ for Financial Counseling and Coaching classes
  • Any resident from grade 3rd to 12th for tutoring services

Payment

Services are provided at no cost to clients.
