Meisha R. Sherman joined Danaher Corporation as Vice President, Human Resources in the Dental Platform with over 25 years in human resources. In her current role she is responsible for all facets of human resources, including business partner, employee relations, compensation and benefits, organizational design, performance management, talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity & inclusion, succession planning, employee engagement and talent management, delivering high-impact strategies that drive sustainable business results and organizational excellence.
Prior to joining Danaher, Meisha held several HR leadership roles at a Fortune 10 technology company, Hewlett Packard Company. Most recently as Global Director, Executive Leadership and Organization Development driving leadership, talent management, L&D, and organization development (OD) strategies, efforts, and initiatives developing and building executives, leaders, and teams to deliver results.
Prior to her role at Hewlett Packard, Meisha served as Global Senior Manager, Human Resources and OE, Talent Management and various HR Business Partner roles for a leading Fortune 100 Government Aerospace Defense company, Raytheon. Ms. Sherman was responsible for talent development, combining OE and talent management key principles to deliver pragmatic solutions, leading succession planning, and talent development strategic efforts, leading diversity strategies, which included execution of diversity Employee Resource Groups, diversity and inclusion awareness training, metrics and communication.
Prior to joining Raytheon, Ms. Sherman held various leadership positions as Director, Human Resources, leadership roles in Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition for a leading woman minority owned consulting firm providing solutions to fortune 500 companies, acquiring top talent and ensuring workforce diversity, developing top leaders, and retaining top talent. Ms. Sherman was responsible for exempt and non-exempt level human resources, employee relations, and talent acquisition in Corporate Human Resources for a top global financial institution for over 5 years. Ms. Sherman served in the United States Army for 6 years, where she was responsible for the recruitment of prospective soldiers, and the development and retention of existing soldiers and she continues to serve military service men and women and veterans today in partnership with the USO, San Diego.
Ms. Sherman is a servant leader in the community and expert in the Human Resources field. Ms. Sherman leads on the board of the Neighborhood House Association (NHA), is a Board direction on a $3.5B asset credit union, California Coast Credit Union, and as a leader in the HR profession serves as a board member on the California State Council Society Human Resources (SHRM). Her immediate past board appointments include, an officer of the National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA), the Pepperdine University Graziadio Alumni Board, and founding member of the Pepperdine University Black Alumni Council. Ms. Sherman is viewed as a subject matter expert and has presented on broad based HR, Leadership and D + I topics at Conference Board, ATD, PIHRA SHRM, and NAWMBA conferences. Ms. Sherman earned an MBA from Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management. Ms. Sherman received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University Dominguez Hills where she graduated magna cum laude.
