Dwight Smith

For the past 20 years, Dwight Smith has served as legal counsel for major financial institutions, technology companies and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining the Neighborhood House Association (NHA) in 2006 as Vice President and General Counsel, Dwight was the Associate General Counsel for the San Diego Convention Center Corporation.

As NHA's General Counsel, Dwight is responsible for the organization's overall legal affairs and serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors and senior management on a wide range of legal matters related to business, policy, operational and management issues.

A native of Chicago, Illinois Dwight holds a Juris Doctor from the University Of Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University. Dwight has been involved with charter schools in California at the elementary, middle and high-school level and has served as an advisor to the Museum School and board member of Cortez Hill Academy High School both located in Downtown San Diego, California.
